Exterior

Mercedes-Benz has always had a knack for blending tradition with modernity, and the exterior of the new S-Class is a prime example of this mastery. The first thing you'll notice is the revised front end, which makes a bolder statement than ever before. One of the most striking changes is the redesigned headlights which incorporate a signature LED lighting system with illuminated three point stars, similar to  Mercedes' iconic emblem.

Another notable change is the larger, more imposing grille, that is triangular. The grille now boasts a more prominent, aggressive presence and stretches lower onto the front of the vehicle than before, giving the S-Class a more commanding look on the road. While the front of the vehicle has undergone changes, the rear has been pretty much untouched, keeping the same rear light design from what we can see on the spy photos.

Interior and Infotainment

The interior of the new S - class has not been revealed yet, and we expect it to be very similar to the outgoing model, with it's MBUX system acting as the brain of the car's infotainment. Even though changes are not expected to be much, we believe that it might come with a MBUX superscreen option for the passenger seat, just like the E - class. The S - class could also have a level 3 autonomous driving system, that allow the driver to have both hands off the steering wheel, while their eyes are on the road.

Powertrains

The new S-Class will likely have two powertrain options, a turbo 3.0 liter inline 6 and a turbo 4.0 liter V8. Mercedes has claimed that "major changes" will be brought to the new S- class, so it likely means different power number and maybe even different hybrid system. As of March 2025, it's powertrains haven't been confirmed yet. The Maybach will most likely still keep it's V12, as Mercedes stated that V12 production will keep progressing, whether it's for Pagani or the S - Class.

The new Mercedes S - class is redefining the full - size sedan niche, with it;'s more expressive design and potentially updated powertrain. With a striking exterior paired with a luxurious interior make it the pinnacle of luxury sedans. Whether you are looking for a unparalleled experience or just overall comfort, the S - class is definitely the car for you
