Descending from a long line of naturally aspirated v12 GTs , the 12Cilindri might be the end of an era, with large combustion engines slowly being replaced by smaller hybrids and straight up EVs. This new 12 cylinder GT is inspired by the great Ferrari GTs of the 50s and 60s, with a large black strip on the hood between the two front headlights, somewhat resembling the Daytona 365.

Powertrain
The 12Cilindri Spyder is the successor to the 812 GTS, sporting a front mid – engine design and a modified version of the 812 Competizione’s 6.5 liter V12 producing 819 horsepower at 9250 rpm and 500 lb-ft of torque at 7250 rpm. this engine has a 9500 rpm redline, 500 higher than the 812 GTS. Ferrai claimes that this car can go from 0 – 60 in 2.9 seconds, a mind blowing time for a car that most likely has a curb weight. of around 4000 pounds. The top speed of this car is as stated by Ferrari, over 211 mph, or around 340 km/h. The car is fitted with an 8 speed dual clutch automatic transmission. The brakes and suspension are pretty much carried over directly from the 812, except that they have re – done the software controlling them.
Exterior
The exterior of the car is sleek in design, all about letting air flow as smoothly as possible over the body of the car. The car has wide fenders and an extremely long hood, in order to fit the huge engine in. The car is set low, and close to the ground, and has a shorter wheelbase than the 812 by about an inch. The headlights and the face of the car are less expressive than the frowning, angry looking 812, which had rounded headlights angled sharply toward the grille. This new design takes Ferrari on a route to modernity, that many other car brand are already on.

Interior and Infotainment
The 12Clindri Spyder has a dual cockpit, meaning that the monitor in front of the passenger shows them everything that can been seen on the actual gauge cluster, including speed, g-force and engine rpm. The interior of the car is covered in premium materials, like leather and Alcantara, tailored to the owner’s liking. while the Coupe has a glass roof, the Spyder has a solid, retractable roof lined with canvas, and is electrically powered to be stowed away above the rear axle.

Cargo room in the 12Cilindri Spyder is basically non – existent, with the coupe having around 10 cubic feet and the Spyder having only around 8, due to the room taken up by the folding roof mechanism.
This new car, which might not be appealing in terms of look to a lot of the audience, is no doubt a Ferrari in spirit, keeping true to it’s bloodline with the naturally aspirated V12 and the convertible bodystyle. This car might be the last of a great dynasty, so let’s enjoy it while we have it.
